JENNIFER PYRON

A live performance blend of vocal improvisation and electronics. Continuously curious and experimental atmospheres diving within, between, and beyond genres to discover new variations of multi-dimensional and emotionally rendering designs in visual art and sound.

Soul Cymatics: Flux Factory’s Feralpy at Governors Island 2023 is a site specific work by Jennifer Pyron that promotes deep listening awareness through breathing and humming exercises. The vocal textures, impulses, breathing techniques, microtones, timbres, rhythm, text and movements are informed by the space and in the moment. Benefits include positive circulation throughout the nervous system to calm responses to stimuli. The mirrors featured in this performance are by Jonathan Sims (Chromadetic). They symbolize: the Self, Community, and Land.

PYRON is an experimental sound and video art group based in NYC featuring multi-instrumental and electronic musicians Jennifer Pyron, Paul Geluso, Kevin Ramsay and video artist Tingerine Liu. Their first release is an emotionally-rich and ethereal compilation of 12 audio/visual tracks titled "My Everything.”

The narrative of their transcendent music and visuals is driven by the free-writing and vocalizations of Jennifer Pyron immersed in electro-acoustic performances and transformed by sound and visual processing. Their debut album contains guest performances by fellow NYC improvisers Lara Brodsky, cello, Mo Kubbara, drums, and Theo Woodward, vocals and electronics. Listen to full album here: “My Everything”
